Process

Elegibility

To be eligible to enter the awards, you must have business premises in/provide your services from home based in
Yorkshire & Lincolnshire, North West, North East or Derbyshire.

Nominations and voting open 02 April 2025

Nominations Close 19 August 2025

Voting Closes 02 September 2025

Summary of these areas / boroughs include: South Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Humberside, Lincolnshire, County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, West Moreland & Cumberland, ;

in one or more of the following categories:

*Any type of service that does not have a specific category, eg. gift companies, honeymoon services, toastmaster, should enter wedding services.
If 2 or more of the same type of supplier enter, we will create a category for them.

**To enter the New Business Category, you must have started trading within 12 months of the date that registration for the awards opened.

Only individual business’s may enter. A collaboration of business’s is not eligible. If your business has more than one store or outlet, then you may enter them separately. This means that they may be competing with one another in the final. If only one business enters in any particular category, that category will be merged with that of another region. Should there be no entrants in other regions, then that category will be closed and the entrant moved in to wedding services.  Should two or more of the same business type enter the wedding services category, a category for that type of supplier will be created.

By taking part in the awards, you agree to be contacted and possibly visited by the judges.

Customer Voting Process

When voting, your customers will be asked to score you out of 10 on different aspects of their experience:

Communication & Professionalism

Standard of Customer Service

Value for Money

Quality of Product

Going over and beyond

Recommend to friends and family

Votes must be from couples;
Who were married AND interacted with / used services from wedding business between
  1th June 2024 and 1st September 2025
 
Votes must be received by 12pm on 2nd September 2025.

You will receive the individual submitted reviews within 28 days after the awards.

If any vote is found to be fraudulent, the entrant will be disqualified.

Judging Process

Each judge will review all of the comments, and complete a specific scoring criterial for each business based on several factors around customer service. Along with the comments and the customer score, this will produce a final score.

They will then also rank each business 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc in their respective category.
